BMW considering M7 and luxurious 9 Series
BMW just recently rolled out its new flagship 7 Series sedan. It didn't take long for it to introduce not one, but two performance versions as well. But what we've seen until now could only be the start as the Bavarian automaker looks to close the gap between the 7 and the Rolls-Royce Ghost. What you're looking at above appears to be a prototype testing components for a potentially forthcoming

BMW and Roland Sands show off Concept 101 custom bagger
Though BMW may not be the first motorcycle manufacturer that comes to mind when you think of cruisers, that's precisely what the German marque has unveiled – in concept form at least – at the Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este this year. Appearing alongside the 3.0 CSL Hommage concept, the BMW Concept 101 is a custom 'bagger' created in California through a collaboration between BMW Motorrad,
BMW 3.0 CSL Hommage R is ready for racing at Pebble Beach
Alongside the awesome Concept M4 GTS, BMW brought out a proper flight of fancy with an R version of the 3.0 CSL Hommage Concept shown earlier this year at Villa d'Este. This stunner pays tribute to the German brand's legendary 3.0 CSL racer from the 1970s and BMW's 40th anniversary here in the United States (and looks a lot better than the previous concept, to boot). Wearing the M brand's
[UK] No Software Update option in iDrive / iOS audio connectivity
I've recently picked up a UK 2010 320d SE Business which has the 2nd gen iDrive (the CIC with HDD - S609A).
I'm trying to figure out the best way to play music from my iPhone through the stereo - I know I can use (and do use) the AUX input but that's crappy quality (cheap cable issue probably) and dangerous to change tracks etc.
Everything works great and I just updated to the latest 2014 nav maps using the USB interface in the glove box (No usb in the centre console, just AUX). I've been able to import music onto the HDD through the USB port in the glove box too.
Now, my iPhone 5s connects over bluetooth just great for phone calls (via S633A) but I can't stream music over it nor control the iPhone from iDrive.
Does anyone know if there is a software/firmware update to add this in?
Am I right in guessing only a dealer would be able to update iDrive because I have no way to update it myself - the option is missing and bmw.com/update says there is no update available for me to download.
Or, am I just out of luck and this version of iDrive can't be updated?
How To Update Usb Ports
Any other solutions to allow me to control iOS music through iDrive other than a most likely very costly retro fit of S6NF and S6FL?
